TOEFL

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is an international standardized test designed to measure English proficiency. It is mainly used for university admissions in foreign countries, but is also accepted by many institutions, organizations and governments for job applications and visas.

Basic information about the TOEFL exam:

 Format: The most common version is the TOEFL iBT (Internet-based test), which assesses four skills: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing.
 Duration: The exam lasts about 3 hours.
 Scoring: The TOEFL iBT is scored from 0 to 120, and each section contributes up to 30 points.
 Sections:

Reading: Read passages of text and answer questions.

Listening: Requires listening to dialogues and lectures and answering questions.

Speaking: Measures the ability to talk about familiar topics and discuss material from the listening or reading sections.

Writing: Requires writing an essay based on reading and listening exercises.

 Accepting Universities: TOEFL results are accepted by over 11,000 institutions in over 150 countries, including universities in the US, Canada, Australia and Turkey.
 Validity: TOEFL results are valid for two years.
